Saddle Backed Tarmarins

Description

The Saddle-backed Tamarin is a small monkey found in the tropical forests of South America, especially in the Amazon rainforest. It gets its name from the distinctive saddle-like patch of fur on its back, which can vary in colour depending on the species. These tamarins live in family groups and spend much of their time moving through the trees in search of food. They eat fruit, insects, flowers, nectar, and small animals. Saddle-backed Tamarins are social and active animals that communicate using a variety of sounds and help their rainforest ecosystem by spreading seeds as they eat fruit.
